Dodgers And Indians Have Reportedly Engaged In Trade Talks

Ken Rosenthal of the Athletic reports that the Indians and Dodgers have discussed many trade scenarios involving the Indians starting pitchers and catcher Yan Gomes. Gomes is signed through next season and his contract includes $2 million buyouts for club options in 2020 and 2021.

The Indians reportedly want outfielders which the Dodgers have plenty of but no official trade has been proposed yet. Yasmani Grandal who is currently a free agent rejected the Dodgers qualifying offer so they have a hole they desperately want to fill at the catcher position.
