According to multiple reports with the latest being Seth Davis from the Athletic, UCLA has fired basketball coach Steve Alford with the official announcement coming at some point today.
Alford, 54, in his sixth season at UCLA and started off 7-6. UCLA is in the middle of a four game losing streak, a three-game double-digit losing streak, and a two-game home losing streak. They have losses to Belmont, Cincinnati, Ohio State, and Liberty led to the firing.
Alford finishes his tenure at UCLA with a record of 124-63, which is only the seventh best outcome by the nine coaches since John Wooden was the coach.
