Dave Roberts Says It's "Unlikely" Clayton Kershaw Starts Opening Day

Dave Roberts announced today that it is "unlikely" that Clayton Kershaw will be the Opening Day starter in less than two weeks.

Kershaw continues to progress through his throwing program, but he has yet to face live hitters halfway through March. With the Dodgers' ace likely out, look for either Walker Buehler, Hyun-Jin Ryu, or Rich Hill (who Roberts said is in the mix) to get the nod to kick off the 2019. Manager Dave Roberts hasn't ruled out the possibility of Kershaw pitching in the first week of the regular season.

More on this story to come.
