Christian Yelich Slams Yu Darvish Over Allegations Of Stealing Signs

With many stories this week about the Houston Astros’ electronic sign stealing, it looks like plenty of people are looking for evidence that other teams may have been up over the last couple of years.

One team named as potentially being guilty is the Milwaukee Brewers. This allegation started with St. Louis Cardinals beat writer Jeff Jones, who offered no evidence aside from stating that “multiple players” identified Milwaukee as an “egregious” offender. Then, a Twitter thread from Bleacher Nation, a pro-Chicago Cubs site that said Christian Yelich was looking to the Brewers’ bullpen in one instance to get some sort of signal while facing Cubs pitcher Yu Darvish.

Milwaukee Brewers right fielder and MVP finalist Christian Yelich offered a response to Chicago Cubs starting pitcher Yu Darvish regarding accusations that he may have stolen signs.

Following Yelich's initial remark to Darvish, the Cubs pitcher clarified that he wasn't directly accusing the 2018 National League MVP or the Brewers of sign stealing.
