David Price Announces He Will Not Play The 2020 Season

Los Angeles Dodger starting pitcher David Price has announced that he will be sitting out the 2020 season. Here is a statement put out on social media:

Dear Dodgers Nation, after considerable thought and discussion with my family and the Dodgers, I have deided it is in the best interest of my health and my family's health for me to not play this season. I will be cheering for them throughout the season and on to a World Series victory. I'm sorry I won't be playing for you this year, but look forward to representing you next year. Stay safe, be well, and be kind, And Go Dodgers!

Price was acquired as part of the Mookie Betts trade over the winter. He's under contract through the 2022 season, and will forfeit his prorated salary (over $10 million) unless he's deemed a high-risk individual.
